Flower Power - Joanna Sheen

Morning :)  Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far!

We have a new challenge today over at Joanna Sheen, and our theme this time is 'Flower Power'  :) I hope we see lots of entries, as flowers are just a wonderful finishing touch to add to your projects as well as a gorgeous main focal image..

For my card I used this really pretty floral stamp called 'Flower Bouquets - In Cellophane'.  I often forget about using flower images on their own, but they are suitable for so many occasions and this was just lovely to colour, I got completely engrossed! :) lol.

I hand-stitched Anna Griffin & K&Co papers, and hand-beaded pearls onto an MS PATP.  The embossed background to the bouquet is an M-Bossabilities Sea Beauty

I will be entering this card in the below competitions:

I ♥ Promarkers - Flower Power
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Passion for Promarkers - Cut it out
Crafts & Me - Embossing
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes
Moving along with the Times - Flowers or Garden

Cheery Lynn Designs - For Mum

Good Morning :)  I hope everyone is having a great week so far? :)

Our challenge this week over on Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge is 'For Mum', and the winner will receive a $20 voucher to spend on the Cheery Lynn website - well worth joining in! :)

Now, this is a little different from me eh?  I usually have some kind of stamped image as my focal point on a card, but these dies are so gorgeous, I really felt that they 'owned' the card all on their own! :)

As usual, I hand stitched my papers (K&Co) onto Bazzil cardstock, and tucked 2 contrasting layers of the B136 - Anastasia Border just underneath.  I think this is my favourite border, its so delicate!

I cut out 2 hearts in ivory pearl card, and then added B117 - Fanciful Flourish as a base for layering my flowers which were cut from D137 - Sweet Williams, B149 - Cuties 1 and B150 - Cuties 2.

Other dies used on this project were:

The gorgeous pearl pin was sent to me by my good friend Karen, who makes them herself - thanks so much hun! :)

I am entering this card in the below competitions:

Cute Card Thursday - Metallica
Deep Ocean Challenge - Dies/Punches
Do You Stack Up - Stripes
Crafty Catz Weekly - Stripes/checks
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Ribbon/Twine
Prairie Fairy Fridays - Anything with Flowers
Stamptacular Sunday - Loaded with Layers
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for checking out my blog today, and for all the lovely comments left.  My pc has been poorly, so I am a little behind in visiting, but I will be catching up in the next couple of days, :)

Good Morning :)

We have a new challenge starting today over at Sweet Stampin, and our theme is 'Use More Than One Ribbon'.  We are sponsored this week by Crafty Ribbons and our monthly sponsor for April is Joanna Sheen.

Shabby Chic - Charisma Cardz

Good Morning, I'm back again today with another card :)

Our new challenge over at Charisma Cardz this week is 'Shabby Chic', and we are sponsored by the brilliant Joanna Sheen and the fabulous Bunny Zoe's Crafts

Now an even better surprise, and an extra special reason to play along this week is also a voucher code for 10% off all purchases online from Bunny Zoe's Crafts for everyone who enters our challenge!  How fab is that!! :)

So, onto my card........  I think this was one of the very first rubber stamps I ever bought and I still love it!  Its always kept out on display as its more like a crafting ornament! lol :)

I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa , and then matted onto Bazzill cardstock.  The hand-stitched papers are a mix of Prima and K&Co, and the flowers are WOC.  There is a little piece of cheesecloth tucked behind the layers and the chipboard sentiment is from very ancient stash, which was just sanded and roughed up a bit.

I am entering this card in the below competitions:

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge - Happy Birthday

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday! :)

This week our new challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs is 'Birthday', and so I was in my element making this sweet little card.  I love how delicate and lacy these pretty dies look and they all work so well together.

This was my first time using one of the gorgeous Reflection Boutique Dies and was thrilled at the results! They were so easy to use and enabled me to create customised mats and layers in just the perfect size for my stamped image. The possibilities are endless, as I only used the 2 smallest sized Horizon Coved Rectangles dies, and you get a total of 6 different sizes in the set! I loved not being restricted in the sizes you can create, and can see myself making card bases and matching boxes from these fabby dies too! :)

I used a gorgeous Tilda and coloured her with PM's, and hand-stitched Prima and MME papers.
The border was created using B160 - Queen Anne's Lace, (which is beautiful!) and the corners were cut from just one of the dies in the B162 - Lace Corner Deco B set.

Other dies used on this project are:

D133 - Exotic Butterflies - SM #2
D133a - Small #2 Angel Wing
B152 - Miniature Rose
B154 - Medium Rose - these make gorgeous flowers in so many ways!

I am entering this card in the below competitions:

7 Kids College fund - Dies or punches
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Butterflies
Magnolia-licious Highlites - Lace
Totally Tilda - Happy Birthday
Moving along with the Times - Shabby Chic

Cheery Lynn Designs - Think Spring!

Good Morning! :)  I hope everyone had a brilliant Easter break :)

The weather here was pants, and we had hail, and lots of rain, but it didnt stop us taking a trip out to a local ruined castle and getting proper drenched! lol.

My card today is for our new challenge over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog where this week our theme is 'Think Spring'.  I chose to go with some bright and zingy colours for this.

I hand-stitched Fizzy Moon and Prima papers, and layered on top English Tea Party Doily,  B117 - Fanciful Flourish and B133 - Lace Light Deco Border to give me a great base to add extra leaves and flowers to.

I used a gorgeous Sugar Nellie digi image called Daffy Pip, and layered this on top of the English Tea Party Doily cut from Centura Pearl card.  It cut like a dream! :)

Other dies used on this card are:

B155 - Large Rose - these flower dies are so versatile I made daisies with them! :)

I am entering this card in the following competitions:

Simon Says Stamp - April Showers/Spring Flowers
Prairie Fairy Fridays - Anything Goes
Stamptacular Sunday - gorgeous photo inspiration
One Stitch at a Time - Use a Digi
Hanna & Friends - Easter or Spring

Am I Following You? :) - More blogger issues

Just a quick post from me - out of frustration and interest.............

Recently I have been very honoured to have several new followers, and I always follow back when I can find a link.  This is usually very easy if you have left a wee comment. :)

I was checking through my dashboard last week, and quite a few blogs were missing from my list, so I went back to check, clicked the 'Follow' buttons again (on the top toolbar), and it appears as though it just doesnt work.  :(  Even after several tries, the pop up never says 'You are already following', it just asks me to 'Follow'.  I also dont appear in the followers box.

I have tried to find out whats wrong, but blogger have now deleted all their archives (well played!) when they migrated over to a new forum.  There seems to be no solution, but I am not alone.

If it appears I havent been over to visit, please leave me a comment below and I will make a list, and see if I can find a way around it.  :)

Have a great day,

Sweet Stampin - Dies & Doodles

Happy Easter! :)

Today is the start of our new challenge over at Sweet Stampin, where this week our theme is 'Dies and Doodles'.  We are sponsored by the brilliant ' My Mums Craft Shop ' who are offering a £10 voucher to the winner, and we also have Joanna Sheen as our monthly sponsor for April too.

Now, I am quite in my comfort zone using dies, but doodling was another matter.  I made it hard for myself too, by using glitter card and glitter paper (tut) , so I had to settle on using my trusty glue pen for the doodling part of this challenge and then added glitter on top.

I used a gorgeous Lili of the Valley stamp, First Edition papers, glitter card from stash, Spellbinder Moroccan dies, and Cheery Lynn die D134 - Small leaves #2.  I threaded pearl beads on the flower stems and coloured the image with PM's.

I am entering this card in the following competitions:

Penny Black and More - Oh So Cute
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
I ♥ Promarkers - Springtime
Crafty Creations - Spring Greens
Simon Says Stamp - Favourite tool - die cutter

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, I will be catching up with everyone over the weekend.  Have a smashing day,

Spring Basket 3

Good Morning, and Good Friday! :)  I hope everyone has great plans for Easter, or a few days off work, its hard to believe the weather this week eh? lol.

So today I am sharing another Spring Basket made using a downloaded template for my digi-cutter and decorated with Cheery Lynn Designs Dies.

I used one sheet of K&Co double sided paper, and inked the edges before assembly.   The border die was cut on double-sided snow white pearlescent card, so it looks just as lovely on both sides.  This was used on the border base, top of basket and the handle.  I affixed the dragonflies with white brads, as they are very delicate and fluttery, and I didnt want them flying off! :)

The dies I used on this basket are:

B133 - Lace Light Deco Border
DL146 - Large Dragonfly with Angel Wing included
B164 - Lace Corner Deco D - I layered this for the scrunched up flower on top.
D133 - Dimensional Small Leaves #1

and 'TaDa'..... my basket collection for an Easter table display.  I just hope the Easter bunny doesnt mind leaving more eggs! lol :)  If you feel like joining in with our Easter Basket challenge over on Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge you still have until Sunday to enter. :)

I am entering this basket in the below competitions:

Morning :) Back today with a card for our new challenge over at Charisma Cardz, where the theme this week is 'Chipboard or Stickers'.  We have 2 fabby sponsors this week:

&
So, doubly worth playing along! :)

For my card I coloured a gorgeous Crafts & Me Digi stamp with PM's and added some Medallion glitter and Sakura crystal star pen for highlights.  I hand-stitched and hand-beaded round the edges of the paper ( I received this in a paper-swap, so I have no idea what it is - lol)  I inked the embossed panel behind the image with Distress Ink, and found the old chipboard sticker in my stash, so just sanded it and roughed it up a bit.  The dies are spellbinder, and the flowers are WOC.

I will be entering this card in the below competitions:

Crafty Catz Challenge - use a Digi
The Stamp Man Challenge - Bingo - Green, Flowers, Swirls

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge - Make A Basket

Good Morning :)  I am back again today with my first DT project for Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge where this week our theme is 'Make a Basket'.  Now like I said, I actually made 3 baskets in total, as they were such fun to decorate using such gorgeous dies!

This basket was made using just one sheet of double-sided K&Co paper using a downloaded digi-template.  I inked all the edges before sticking it together to give it a nice soft and finished look.  I used B136 Anastasia Border to decorate the handle and the bottom of the basket.

I then inked and added B117 - Fanciful Flourish, D134 - Small leaves #2, and made a gorgeous shabby flower from the D137 - Sweet Williams die.  I added card candi to both sides of the paper and then B162 - Lace Corner Deco B, sticking 2 together to make the elegant side decoration.

I then filled the basket with more yummy choccy eggs, which also sadly no longer exist!! LOL :D

I have since purchased some more eggs for easter and these are well and truly hidden from my husband and his shovel-like hands! ;)

I will be entering this project in the below competitions:

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Happy Easter
Totally Gorjuss - Swirly Whirly
Crazy Challenge - Spring
Kreative Stempelfreunde - Easter Package
Creative Craft Challenges - Anything But a Card

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, I appreciate all the lovely comments, they mean so much!  I will be back tomorrow with a card to share, so I hope to see you then.  Have a great day!

Spring Basket 1

Morning fellow bloggers - a Monday post from me - whatever next!! :) lol.

Today sees the launch of our new look Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge blog, where we have a new theme for the next week of  'Make a Basket'.  I got soooooo carried away with my new dies and this theme, I actually made 3!  So this is not my DT project, that will be posted on Wednesday, this was my little practice basket which I made for my hubby.

The basket was from a downloaded template on my digi-cutter, and the card is woven through slots.  It was easy peasy to do, and didnt take long at all :)  I was well chuffed with the results.  I inked all the edges before construction, and then really enjoyed decorating it.  The papers are scraps of MME from a previous project and the stamp is an LOTV sentiment.

The Dies I used on this project are:

B149 - Cuties 1.  This is actually a flower-rolling die and looks totally fabulous as a bloom.  I used it as a neat little border for this though, so quite versatile.

DL128 - Two of Hearts.  I used the smaller of the heart dies, and they are so intricate with little pierced holes too, but they cut like a dream :)

I will be entering this project in the below competitions:

Creative Craft Challenges - Anything but a card
Top Tip Tuesday - Easter &/or Animals
Anything Goes Challenge - Get ready for Easter
Cute Card Thursday - Happy Easter
Chocolate, Coffee, Cards - Fancy Folds
Allsorts Challenge - Photo Inspiration - I picked pastel Easter Eggs

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, I hope you will pop back on Wednesday to see my first DT project for Cheery Lynn Designs and if you have time, I hope you check out the rest of the DT's inspirational creations.

Edited to Add:  The choccy eggs didnt survive the weekend, my hubby loves his choklit!........ tut  LOL :)

Joanna Sheen Challenge - Masculine

Second post of the day for me! :) Steady! lol.

So today sees the start of our new fortnightly challenges over at the  Joanna Sheen Challenge, and our theme this time is 'Masculine'.

I used this brilliant stamp set called Speedy Celebrations and even though male cards are somewhat out of my comfort zone, I had a blast making this.  I heat embossed the stamped speedo image and put the dial on top of a piece of die-cut acetate.  I used other stamps from the set to create the background cogs and the number-plate and the border was cut on my digi-cutter.  The papers are MME and the black and white twine was also from Joanna Sheen.

I am entering this card in the following competitions:

Papertake Weekly - Fab sketch
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Spots and Stripes
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Divas by Design - Stamp Something
CES Challenges - No Girls Allowed
Thanks so much for checking out my today I hope everyone has a smashing Sunday!

You only have to look at my cards to see that dies are a really BIG passion of mine, and I probably spend longer on a card whoosing about and playing with dies than anything else!

I feel so honoured to be given this amazing opportunity to work with some fabulous products and to be part of such a talented DT!

Our new look challenge blog launches tomorrow, so I hope you find time to check it out and look at all the DT's inspirational creations and hopefully play along.
